February Fog

Saturday and the wind pulled round to southerlies, offering a warm wind and a decent swell size and period. Taking a trip up the coast I drove through fog, low cloud and bright sunshine almost every few minutes. There were a few guys in at the point sharing some mid size waves. It was great to watch them in the …

Midwinter Blues

December and early January saw a weather pattern that remained in place for weeks. Great fishing, you feel them on the line and then pull up ever so gently or they will slip off the hook. Happy day. looking forward to finding two nice people to share them with- pan fried and a beurre noisette anyone?

a jaunt around cornwall and devon looking for wells

This was a great find, a silver chalice, had been left, glimmering under the cool water. Some wells are well kept, some are lost, some can just be worked out, almost lost under foliage. Their history is tantalisingy obscured, full of half hidden meaning and legends.   I have researched and searched all over the counties of Devon and Cornwall …
